May the blessings of the Triple Gem be with you all!

This article contains a practical guided meditation, led by my own voice and experience. Whether you are from my home country or from abroad, I invite you to listen closely to the guidance offered. Please do not let the original language be a barrier; the essence of the practice transcends words. The purpose of this article is to fulfill a promise I made to you: to personally guide you in a practical meditation session. So, in keeping with that promise, I intend to lead you through the practice today.

Before we begin the guided meditation, I will offer a few instructions. I will take about five minutes to provide this preliminary advice. Please absorb these points carefully before you start the practice. The meditation we are doing today is part of our ongoing series, the ‘Practical Meditation Program for the Brahma Worlds.‘ This will be a practical session aligned with that series of teachings.

A Monks Guided Meditation A Practical Path to Inner Peace – A Promise Fulfilled Your Personal Guided Meditation

Preparing Your Space and Mind for Meditation

To begin, please find a comfortable and quiet space. I recommend using a headset or headphones to help minimize distractions from your surroundings. If your home environment is noisy, this will be particularly helpful. However, if you are alone in a quiet space, using a speaker is also perfectly fine. Please choose what works best for you before we proceed.

As you engage in this guided meditation, you may begin to notice, feel, or even see certain things. I cannot say for certain that this will happen today or tomorrow; it is a gradual process. But for some, as you listen and engage practically with this reflection, various experiences may arise. For those of you already practicing forms of meditation focusing on the ‘third eye,’ please continue with this practice as well; there is no issue. Just follow the instructions I provide.

Let me give you a couple of examples of what you might experience:

  • A sensation of the body becoming as heavy as stone, or a feeling of being tightly held.
  • The arising of an immense and profound happiness. This is a powerful joy, sometimes accompanied by a deep breath, which we call pīti, or rapturous joy.

I am not saying this will definitely happen today; it may occur after listening and practicing for a few days. Therefore, practice patiently, following the method I explain. Be mindful of these possibilities. If you experience anything beyond these, do not be afraid or alarmed. As you engage in the guided meditation, simply experience and observe these sensations while continuing to follow my words and reflect accordingly. Take this guidance to heart.

You can listen to this guided meditation daily without any problem. I am offering this technique to help you focus your mind more easily. As you continue, it will become easier, and you will remember the method. Then, you can practice this meditation anywhere you go, at any time.

If you start to feel sleepy, try to overcome the drowsiness and continue if you can. However, if the sleepiness is strong, it’s better to stop, rest, and perhaps take a refreshing bath or have a meal. You can return to the practice when you feel awake and revitalized.

A final point for those who practice ‘third eye’ meditation: you may see various images or forms. During this session, please do not give them priority. Don’t try to analyze or follow them. Acknowledge their presence but gently disregard them and continue to focus on my words, reflecting on what you feel in your mind and body as you move forward. Please adhere to these instructions as we prepare to begin our practical guided meditation.

A Monks Guided Meditation A Practical Path to Inner Peace – Beginning the Practice Posture and Breath

Beginning the Practice: Posture and Breath

Now, please go to your usual meditation spot. I will give you a few moments to settle in comfortably. Whether you are in front of your home shrine or in a quiet corner of your room, prepare your space to begin. Settle down and get ready.

Now that you have arrived at your familiar meditation spot, please take your usual posture. This could be a cross-legged position. what we sometimes call the ‘half-lotus’ or the full lotus posture (pādmasana). Whichever posture you normally use for meditation, please settle into it now. Once seated, slowly and gently close your eyes.

With your eyes closed, take a deep, long breath in. Hold it for a moment and then release it very slowly. Now, take another breath, a little faster this time, and release it a little faster as well. Finally, take one more breath, even more quickly, and exhale with the same speed. You may now feel a sense of refreshment and alertness.

Setting Your Intention and Focusing the Mind

For those practicing ‘third eye’ meditation, focus your mind on the center of your forehead. For those following the ‘Practical Meditation for the Brahma Worlds‘ program, establish your mind in the way we have taught you in the area between the center of the forehead and the bridge of the nose, wherever your mind naturally settles. Hold your focus there.

As you maintain this focus, reflect on the words I say, just as I say them. Before we begin, let us make three affirmations, or what we call adhiṭṭhāna, strong determinations. As you remain calm, looking at your point of focus, let’s make these three resolutions together. Repeat each one three times:

  • ‘May I receive all the energies of the universe.’ (Repeat three times)
  • ‘May all the skills I have practiced and developed throughout my past lives in samsara be available to me again.’ (Repeat three times)
  • ‘May all the energies within me be fully activated again.’ (Repeat three times)

From here onwards, listen to the above video from 8:50 minutes.

Continuing the Journey and After the Session

The core of this guided meditation involves a continuous practice of about one hour. You have now engaged in the foundational steps. To continue, the practice deepens from this point forward.

After an hour of practice, if you feel that your mind is still in a state of deep concentration (samādhi), and you are experiencing comfort, happiness, or joy (pīti), you can continue meditating. If you feel you can sit for longer, you have the ability to do so. Do not stop the meditation abruptly; continue for as long as you feel stable. By extending the practice, you can develop your meditation even further.

I am concluding the formal guidance after one hour, but if you feel any discomfort in sitting, you may now slowly, very slowly, open your eyes.

Guidance for Your Ongoing Spiritual Practice

Please continue to listen to this guidance and meditate in this way. For those who find it difficult to concentrate the mind, listen to this practical teaching again and again, guiding your mind accordingly until it becomes settled. However, I must offer a word of caution: do not become overly dependent on this recording. Use it as a tool to master the technique.

If you begin to experience the signs I mentioned earlier, such as the body feeling like stone, entering a state of rapturous joy, or an overwhelming sense of happiness where mind and body feel completely unified, please let us know. You can leave a comment or contact us through our WhatsApp number. Based on your experience, I will provide you with the next steps and further instructions.

For now, your task is to continue this practice consistently. When you experience these states, learn to remain in them. Practice staying with that feeling again and again to strengthen it. As I mentioned, I will provide future guidance for the next stages of your spiritual practice.

For today, we conclude this practical session.
