May the blessings of the Triple Gem be with you all!
For those of you who are practically studying your own mind, engaging in meditation, and trying to understand yourselves by maintaining awareness, you may have started to notice certain things. You are likely beginning to see your own weaknesses, your faults, and your shortcomings. This is a significant moment.
Having this new understanding of your own imperfections is a profound step. To see the faults that were previously invisible to you does not mean you are flawed; on the contrary, it shows me that you are a truly excellent person. This very act of seeing is the core of what we do in the spiritual life. It is the foundation of genuine spiritual self-awareness.

The Mirror of Mindfulness: A Tool for Unshakable Growth
Whether we develop through Samatha, which is calmness meditation, or through Vipassanā, the insight practice taught by the Buddha, the journey is one of self-observation. Imagine you are standing before a mirror. You see your physical shape, your features, your beauty. In the same way, the practice of mindfulness, or Sati, acts as a mirror for the mind. When you use this mirror of mindfulness, you begin to see the blemishes and distortions within your own heart and mind. To be able to do this marks you as an incredibly wise person.
This practice of spiritual self-awareness is a path that will never lead you astray. Your mind will only grow stronger and more developed. You will experience a development you couldn’t have imagined before. Your intelligence will increase, and your wisdom, a deep, intuitive understanding known as Paññā,will expand and become vast.
Your capacity for thinking will become limitless. The very obstacles that block intelligence and wisdom are these unseen weaknesses and faults. By seeing them, you begin to dissolve them.

The Path to Liberation: Correcting Our Inner World
The ultimate end of the path of insight, be it the attainment of Buddhahood, the state of a Paccekabuddha (a silent Buddha), or the liberation of an Arahant (a fully enlightened being),is simply the place where one has completely and perfectly corrected all of one’s faults. It is the destination reached after seeing and mending every single weakness.
As you walk this path, you are heading towards this very state of perfection. The fact that you are now seeing your faults means you are on the right track. In this entire universe, there is only one being I can think of who gave us this profound understanding of ourselves: the Buddha.
He is the supreme one who, through his own direct realization, taught this path of self-discovery and purification. You can only understand if his teachings are true or false through this kind of practical application. Without it, you cannot truly grasp these concepts.

Rejoice in Your Progress, No Matter Your Path
The fact that you have come this far in your understanding means you are, and I say this again, a truly excellent person. If you possess this wisdom, this growing spiritual self-awareness, it does not matter what your nationality or religion is. You can be of any faith, any background, any age. What matters is that you should rejoice in the faults you have already corrected.
I have spoken about this in other teachings, so I will not elaborate too much here. The essential point is this: look at the progress you have made and be happy. Acknowledge the weaknesses you have overcome. At the same time, accept that there are other faults you haven’t yet identified, and some you have identified but are still struggling to correct. That is perfectly okay.

Faith in the Journey: The Power of Persistent Self-Correction
By rejoicing in the progress you’ve made in the past, you build the strength to face what is to come. Trust in this process. Have faith that because you have already identified and corrected faults, and because developing your spiritual life will grant you the ability to see even more clearly, you can and will overcome the rest. Continue on this journey with confidence.
This very practice of acknowledging your progress becomes a powerful support for your spiritual development. I hope this brief reflection is enough for you to understand and grasp. Take these words and apply them practically in your life.
May the power and blessings of the Triple Gem, the Buddha, the Dhamma (His Teachings), and the Sangha (the community),be with you, guiding you to recognize your weaknesses and, with that recognition, to move forward in correcting them.
